About us
It all started with baby girl #3...
I told all my friends not to buy me a thing. I had everything from the first two girls. What could I possibly need? Well fortunately they didn't listen and one of them bought me a beautiful baby mat. I used it every day - on the bathroom floor while I showered, on the kitchen floor while I washed bottles - little baby Haley spent a lot of time on that mat. Now I couldn't believe I had my other girls without having a versatile mat like this. I decided more parents, grandparents, caregivers in general should have something like this and I'd help make that happen.
Family Values
After a lot of research, I went back to what matters most to our family. We believe in products made right here in America. More research and I was able to find amazing people who printed, sewed, and crafted beautiful high quality products I knew would be perfect for what I had in mind. All made in the U.S.A., many with sustainable materials from America, lots of organic offerings, and most from other women-owned companies. Everything I feel great about sharing with others.
So what about the baskets?
Well, on that very same maternity leave I learned how to bake bread. Our family leaned into knowing ingredients in our foods and creating more ourselves rather than buying processed 'stuff'. I had fun baking bread, muffins, and cookies and realized I wanted to share these goodies with others. We were invited over to a friend's house and I wanted to a bring beautifully imperfect rustic-looking loaf of bread as a cute hostess gift, but I could not figure out how to 'gift' it. Handing a loaf of stone baked bread in plastic wrap feels like handing someone a football - nothing really 'pretty' about the presentation there. I wished I had a nice basket. Maybe Red Riding Hood style with a cloth or maybe just with a nice bow ribbon around the handle.
After a lot of results I didn't love when I searched for baskets, I went down the same rabbit hole of research. I found beautiful things from this beautiful country that fit exactly what I was looking for, plus more. Now I can think of more things to gift to friends and loved ones that are natural, homemade, home grown, and meaningful in a variety of baskets. I love the simplicity of handpicked flowers or garden veggies in a wooden basket and I hope you can enjoy that too.
The Game Changers
Not many blueberries made it home with us on the day pictured here but going to the farm and picking fruits and veggies is one of my Saturday morning highlights all summer long!
